Hangzhou Airport Encrypted Dubai, Singapore and Other Routes, Visa-free Countries Aviation Power to

On 25 January, China and Singapore signed the Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Singapore on Mutual Visa Exemption for Holders of Ordinary Passports in Beijing. The agreement will enter into force on 9 February 2024 (Lunar New Year's Eve).

On 28 January, China and Thailand signed a mutual visa exemption agreement in Bangkok, Thailand. The agreement will take effect from 1 March 2024 onwards.

By then, the number of Hangzhou Airport's international destinations with visa-free access has increased to 11, including Dubai of the United Arab Emirates, Almaty of Kazakhstan, Doha of Qatar, Vientiane of Laos, Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu of Malaysia, Bangkok and Phuket of Thailand, and Singapore.

In addition, Hangzhou Airport continues to encrypt international routes in Asia, such as Dubai and Singapore, and expand the coverage of popular East and Southeast Asian routes to meet the demand of travellers for Spring Festival outbound trips.

From 30 January, Air China resumed round-trip passenger flights between Hangzhou and Dubai, flying on Tuesdays and Sundays. The resumed route to Dubai will be operated on Tuesdays and Sundays with better flight schedules, departing Hangzhou at 15:00 on Tuesdays and landing in Hangzhou at 11:55 the following day, and departing Hangzhou at 16:15 on Sundays and landing in Hangzhou at 12:20 the following day. After 1 March, Air China will also increase the number of flights to Dubai to three per week, flying on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays.

Starting January 31, Lao Airlines will add a new round-trip passenger service between Hangzhou and Vientiane, taking off from Vientiane at 18:20 Laotian local time and landing in Hangzhou at 22:40 Beijing time every Wednesday, and taking off from Hangzhou at 00:05 Laotian local time and landing in Vientiane at 02:55 Laotian local time every next day.

Starting from 1 February, Changlong Airlines has added a new round-trip passenger route between Hangzhou and Kuala Lumpur, which operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, taking off from Hangzhou at 11:10 and landing in Kuala Lumpur at 15:25 Malaysian local time, and taking off from Kuala Lumpur at 16:25 and landing in Hangzhou at 22:40. At present, Malaysia implements the convenience measure of visa-free entry for Chinese citizens for 30 days.

Before the Spring Festival, Hebei Airlines has resumed the Hangzhou-Singapore round-trip passenger route, which flies every Thursday; Xiamen Airlines has encrypted the Hangzhou-Singapore route to one flight per day. The number of passenger flights between Hangzhou and Singapore will increase to 18 per week.

In addition, Capital Airlines has increased the number of round-trip passenger flights between Hangzhou and Bangkok to 5 flights per week, while Thai Lion Air has increased the number of round-trip passenger flights between Hangzhou and Bangkok to 1 flight per day. The number of passenger flights between Hangzhou and Thailand will increase to 41 per week
